Description

In recent years, the healthcare industry has increasingly focused on standard clinic design as a route to operational efficiency and error reduction, in addition to simplified timelines and predictable costs. It has yet to be demonstrated, however, whether standardized design serves varied service lines. Following up on a project profile article published in the May 2021 issue of Healthcare Design magazine, this lively session will share the results of a research investigation into the perception of teamwork in four identical clinic layouts with four different practice types—family medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, and dentistry—at the Family Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center in McKinney, Texas.
