Description

Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. This roundtable explores how design can welcome and embrace individual needs and the heart of the community. Facilitators will share the unique needs of diverse populations and and how to address the challenges of communities through design. From patients with mobility, visual, auditory, cognitive, or mental disabilities to those facing financial and access challenges, community-based, medical neighborhood-focused care takes a holistic approach to meeting underserved needs. This discussion will explore the design process, where DEI checkpoints can be integrated, and how the unique needs of populations can be identified and integrated into a healing environment.
