Description

As a leading healthcare provider in Pueblo, Colo., and a non-profit, charitable organization, Pueblo Community Health Center (PCHC) wanted to align their organizational sustainability goals with the City of Pueblo’s goal to become fully powered by renewable energy by 2035. As a result, PCHC decided to pursue the goal of a zero energy building for their new East Side Clinic, the first emerging zero energy outpatient healthcare clinic in Colorado. This case study will describe the project’s use of zero energy building strategies, the benefits to the owner and surrounding community, and the results of the project to date.
