Description
Cancer diagnoses continues to grow, with a projected 30 percent growth in the next 10 years. How do health systems address this need at a time when research, therapeutics, and technology are rapidly advancing, offering more precise, personal, and effective outcomes? With every different approach to treating and curing cancer comes a different possible effect on the built environment. This presentation will review how future advances in each treatment area will impact facility design and operations, from the diverse perspective of a cancer provider, facility manager, and architect, culminating in a roadmap for the future to help providers plan the next generation of cancer facilities.
