Description

In this session, presenters will make the case that telehealth offers a way to transform the healthcare industry, making it more sustainable (environmentally and socially), by integrating care delivery into the life of the community. Though remote care has been around for decades, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted staggering growth. As multiple technologies augment our technical capabilities, we can more efficiently model and understand many new eventualities. Presenters will share a framework to create a more resilient and sustainable design that accounts for the most important emerging forces shaping our healthcare system. This methodology helps to understand the changing meaning of space, design, and the physician/patient interface.

Tracks:

Learning Objectives

• Establish a baseline for a modeling solution, understanding how models are constructed and what they can reveal.
• Develop a four-part roadmap for modeling your telehealth and healthcare future, identifying current and future state of capabilities; introducing variables to be considered as part of the feedback loop for continual improvement, and defining the model application.
• Define process for operationalizing your model.
• Assess the value of the new clinic/patient interaction in a world of care shaped by telehealth, redefining place, community, access to care, and brand expression.
