Description

This year, the ICONs program will report on innovative, but less-recognized, healthcare projects by architects and designers who fly under the radar. These design professionals have taken a fresh look at the healthcare industry, creating inventive and unexpected new facilities for patient care. The program will uncover how these firms received the commissions, design solutions, and the final project outcomes. This Hospital ICONs presentation provides research and interviews with clients, architects, and designers to capture project goals, statistics, architectural photos and drawings and share the important lessons learned with the audience.

Learning Objectives

Identify innovative healthcare projects created by less-recognized architects and designers. Assess the outcomes of these projects related to the designers’ background in healthcare planning and design. Learn how these smaller firms got these important healthcare commissions. Evaluate client lessons learned using untraditional healthcare design firms.
