Description

Is there a method to determine the feasibility and functionality of an idea? Preoccupations with prioritizing safety at all expense are being eclipsed by the expensive realities of labor shortage, shifting consumer expectations, and regulatory revisions. There are new and differing ideas and examples in design for aging versus “the aged” as well as navigating market and technologies shifts. This presentation highlights evidence-based design considerations for identifying, forecasting, and prioritizing outcomes-driven design strategies that are anticipatory and responsive to occupancy and operations, enabling designers and care providers to more effectively manage change during change related to cost, quality, and experiences.
