The Changemaker Award honors individuals or organizations that have demonstrated exceptional ability to change the way healthcare facilities are designed and built, and whose work has broad impact on the advancement of healthcare design. This year, Lorraine G. Hiatt, Ph.D., Environmental Gerontologist, ImprovAging™ Lifestyles and Design, will be honored as the 2023 Changemaker for her 50 years of driving, from the inside out, life-altering changes in the environments where older adults reside and receive care. She helped create, refine and advance the function, look and experience of environments for aging by putting residents and staff first in every one of her 800+ project endeavors. Hear how her experiences continue to drive her work as a fearless agent of change.
