Description

Adaptive reuse can be an effective strategy for optimizing the operational and commercial performance of a built asset. Repurposing certain building types, such as a hotel, can be an attractive alternative to new construction, especially those that are already situated in prime locations. With the increase of distressed hospitality and multifamily properties available more than ever due to the coronavirus pandemic and struggling economy, adaptive reuse is a transformative approach to senior living design. Senior living can be a challenging application due to its operational and programmatic constraints. This presentation will share how to overcome those challenges and provide examples and case studies that demonstrate adaptive reuse options and approaches.
